The High Court yesterday rejected the petition by a local Bradford mosque to allow the Jummah prayers, ahead of Ramadan coming to an end this weekend. However, the petition has been allowed to progress to a full hearing.
Therefore, the original recommendation by CfM to all Mosques in Bradford to suspend all congregational prayers, religious gatherings and events remain intact.
CfM fully acknowledges the eagerness of Muslims to return to their Mosques for congregational prayers, particularly, Jumma and Eid prayers. We are carefully monitoring the situation and will advise Mosques to reinstate congregational prayers, religious gatherings and events as soon as it is safe to do in line with medical and government guidelines.
May Allah SWT protect and guide us in these unprecedented difficult times.
